On Thursday, May 15, nearly 100 members of the KGI community, including members of the Board of Trustees, celebrated the dedication of the Sheldon M. Schuster Campus Center in honor of Dr. Sheldon Schuster, who served as the Institute’s second president from 2003 to 2024.
The ceremony included brief remarks by KGI administrators and faculty, Board of Trustee members, and Schuster, who retired as president in July 2024. Remarks centered around Schuster’s focus of building up the student experience at KGI and his willingness to be bold during the formative years of the Institute, which welcomed its first cohort in 2000.
The former 517 Building was dedicated as the Sheldon M. Schuster Campus Center by the Board of Trustees in May 2024. The dedication of the building in Schuster’s honor was made possible through fundraising efforts by the Board of Trustees.
